Affinity was born out of a bottle of wine during NFL draft weekend in April 2005. Anne and Donna, who have sung together for almost 30 years, wanted to quartet again. Erin and Michelle were their first round draft picks for the lead and bass spots. Anne and Donna are affectionately called "The Bookends", always singing baritone and tenor together. One of our first tasks as a new quartet was to come up with a name. Together we chose Affinity because we think that the definition of affinity describes very well what we believe a quartetting relationship is all about. Affinity recently competed at Harmony Inc's Area 3 competition; we took 2nd place and qualified for international competition.
