Competition

Competition is a major and fun part of the barbershop world that helps keep us focused on raising the bar of performing excellence. We come together in a spirit of lighthearted contest, to see who's really got top form. We root for each other, cheer each other on, and once the medals have been handed out, we sing and party into the night!

Area

Every year in the early part of May, the Crystal Chords attend and compete in our Area contest. Dozens of choruses and quartets come together to sing and compete. There are a number of judging categories, and the groups bring complete and entertaining packages.

International

Qualifiers from Area contests come together in November each year and participate in Harmony, Inc.'s International competition. The site of the competition moves around year to year -- in 2010, in will be in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. In 2011, it will be in Hershey, PA.
